Refund and Cancellation Policy

Refund, cancellation, and cooling-off rules for paid GoDesk subscriptions. Drafted around the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU and Cyprus consumer law.

TL;DR

EU consumers get a 14-day cooling-off period from the start of their subscription. After that, monthly plans are non-refundable; annual plans are refunded pro-rata if you cancel for unused full months.

Usage-based fees, taxes, and one-time setup fees are not refunded. Stripe receipts are sent automatically.

01Scope

This policy applies to paid GoDesk subscriptions purchased from upDevTeam LTD via godeskflow.com or its checkout. The free tier is not eligible for refunds because nothing has been paid.

If you bought a GoDesk subscription through a reseller, the reseller's refund policy applies; this page is informational in that case.

02EU 14-day right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer (a natural person buying outside your trade, business, or profession) and you live in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of the day on which the subscription started, without giving a reason.

To exercise the right of withdrawal you must inform us by an unambiguous statement, for example by:

  • emailing info@godeskflow.com with the subject 'Right of withdrawal' and quoting your invoice number;
  • submitting the model withdrawal form available at the bottom of this page;
  • any other written communication we receive within the 14-day period.

If you start using paid features (an act of immediate performance you expressly request and acknowledge in the checkout) before the 14 days have elapsed, you waive the right of withdrawal in respect of services already supplied. We will refund the unused portion only.

03Monthly subscriptions

Monthly subscriptions are billed in advance for one calendar month. You may cancel at any time from your account settings.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. The Service remains available until that date. Fees already paid for the current period are not refunded, except where required under the EU 14-day right of withdrawal.

We do not pro-rate refunds for partial monthly use.

04Annual subscriptions

Annual subscriptions are billed in advance for one calendar year. You may cancel at any time from your account settings.

If you cancel before the end of the annual term, we refund a pro-rata amount calculated on a per-full-month basis for full months not yet used, less any discount that was conditional on the annual commitment. Partial months are not refunded.

Refunds for annual cancellations are processed within 14 business days to the original payment method.

05Usage-based fees

Usage-based fees (e.g. additional relay traffic above your plan quota) reflect costs we have already incurred for services already rendered, and are non-refundable except where required by mandatory law.

If you believe you were billed for usage you did not generate, write to info@godeskflow.com with the affected period and we will investigate.

06Non-refundable items

The following items are non-refundable except where mandatory law requires otherwise:

  • the free tier (nothing has been paid);
  • fees for any month in which the Service was actually delivered, beyond the EU 14-day right of withdrawal;
  • VAT and other taxes already remitted to a tax authority;
  • any one-time setup, training, or professional-services fees that have already been performed and accepted;
  • promotional credits, gift codes, and discounts of any kind.

07How to request a refund

Refund requests are handled by the billing team. To request one, contact us with the details below.

Account email, invoice number, payment method last 4 digits, and the reason for the request.
Response time
Initial acknowledgement within 5 business days. Final decision within 14 business days.
Refund method
Refunds are returned to the original payment method (Stripe or bank transfer). Where the original method is no longer available, we agree an alternative in writing.

We may decline a refund where the request is fraudulent, abusive, or repeated. Repeat refund requesters may have their accounts terminated.

08Chargebacks

If you have a billing dispute, contact us first at info@godeskflow.com. Almost every dispute can be solved by email faster than by chargeback.

We will defend bad-faith chargebacks with the supporting evidence we hold. Filing a chargeback in bad faith may result in immediate account termination and inclusion in the relay-level ban list.

09VAT and taxes

Where Cypriot or EU VAT is added to your invoice, the refund is calculated on the gross amount and the VAT is reimbursed accordingly. Reverse-charge invoices to VAT-registered businesses are refunded net.

We cannot refund taxes that have already been remitted to a tax authority and that the authority will not return to us.

10Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes are announced at godeskflow.com/refund-policy and apply only to subscriptions starting after the change takes effect, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.
